The Expanding Universe.

Watercolor and pastel. Part of my unseen events series this illustrates the "theory of an expanding universe", but the idea for the composition came to me from reading a Robinson Jeffer's poem. the Universe is represent by a giant heart expanding out into this endless void as bits of nebulous matter pour out from the ventricles.
